What is Canine Fitness?

Canine fitness or canine conditioning is similar to gym workouts in humans. Structured fitness training improves your dog’s strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, and stamina and is also mentally stimulating. With expert coaching your dog will learn proper muscle recruitment for improved performance and injury prevention.

Canine fitness basics are simple to teach using luring and shaping dog training techniques. Most workouts can be done in 10-15 minutes and require very little equipment and space. There are lots of household items that can be used safely for canine fitness!

Dogs of all ages and lifestyles can benefit from canine fitness exercises. Most importantly, fitness can prevent injuries and improve your dog’s longevity and quality of life. As a bonus, canine fitness training will teach you and dog new skills and enhance your bond. Even puppies can benefit from pre-fitness, to prevent muscle asymmetries (which can lead to injuries) and also proof their basic training skills.
